Why is the carriage “manned” by two sets of dwarve brothers?.Does this scene happen before or during the Battle?.The 4 dwarves are leaving Erebor and heading towards Dale (the ruins on the hill top). The gun is not fixed but can move vertically and horizontally.Īt 1:06, we see Fili at the right side of the carriage. Also notice the slashers protruding from the wheel.Ī few frames later, we clearly see the bow-gun. But frame-by-frame viewing allowed me to discover the following (click the images to enlarge them):Īt 1:04 we can see the dwarves riding the carriage: Balin wearing the red coat and steering the carriage, Fili with his bow and the bald head of Dwalin between them.Īt 1:05, we see that Dwalin is holding what looks like a bow-gun. The sequence starts at 1:03 and is very brief.
